Hello,
I made a small service on my friend swiss RS, K54/53 CH, frame number : 5 146 266
I changed the top end gaskets because they where leaking. Like on mine RS, in mounted the Kreidlerparts 5V gasket set : The problem is that I have too much compressie, about 17 bars ! Enough to break everything, and the oil seals I think...
The cilinder is a 15.33.86
The cilindertop is a 15.43.26
Question is, which koppakking or foetpakking Am i supposed to mount to have normal compressie ? And what is the compressie of a normal RS in good state ? 7 or 8 bars ?
Thanks, Greeting, Florian

Try this one https://www.kreidlerparts.com/parts/15. ... twand-05mm
or
https://www.kreidlerparts.com/parts/15. ... twand-05mm
11 bar is a good value

Re: To much compressie one a swiss RS
So i try with 0.5mm foetpacking but still the 0.1mm koppakking ? I did find for the 15.33.86 : https://kreidlerdatabase.nl/40000/41000/153386_A.html
Normaly mounted with the standard koppakking, so your voepaking is dicker than the one ine the complet pakking set ?
> You say that 11 is ok, I've only 7 with my overhauled RS, meaning I possibly have the version that I can mount without gasket and just compound sealing ?
My RS : 14.43.99 Cilinder - 15.43.26 Cilinderkop (1972, was not zwart eloxiert) - B15-47P Direkt Blok

Re: To much compressie one a swiss RS
You can try with 1mm wire between head and piston
Try with other thickness head gaskets

Re: To much compressie one a swiss RS
Did you measure with a fresh oil film between piston and cilinder ?
That explains a higher compression.
Let the engine run for a while , and try again.
The high compression won't damage your oil seals

Re: To much compressie one a swiss RS
Hi,
I mesured with the solder wire, I find about 0.7mm on the crushed side of the wire, after cranking the engine > But not sure.
Caspar I always mount pistons with a film of oil on the cilinders, but It never increased so much the compressie. I cannot kick with hand. I first thought of the silencer, but I cleaned it, no more calamine. I cranked a few times, and finded 17 bars with full opening throttle. I think yet that my mounting oil is now in the exhaust > I always close the gas tap, so, the engine was not drown.
Did you know the thickness of this koppakking ? https://www.kreidlerparts.com/parts/00. ... tring-32mm...
So I can try an other one, or trying with the foet..
Thanks, Florian

Did you know the thickness of this koppakking ..
normaal = 0.2 ... koppakking .
ktt zylinders have a 0,3 koppakking ..
and 0,2 x 2 = 0,4 koppakking
