What cylinder should I choose for my 3-speed engine? I have a bing 17 mm carburettor that I'm going to use.
I have the small bolt pattern and want a 50cc like a 5.5 hp or equivalent, what do you recommend.
What 50cc cylinder to my 3-speed florett cross

What do you mean by "the original 4,2 HP cylinder"? You may be thinking of the Mustang from the sixties with a fan cooled 4,2 HP cylinder?
I think Johan has a Swedish Mustang from the seventies, originally with a 1 hp cylinder, "driving wind cooled" (or whatever you call that in English..... ) fartvindkyld på Svenska i alla fall
The small RS (not super breitwand) type cylinders would fit, but not a good choice for a three speed I think.
Tuning a stock cylinder to 4,2 HP port dimensions would be a good choice which a good tuner should be able to do. I guess the dimensions can be looked up here on the forum. Of course, that requires a good base with a bore in good shape and a proper fitting good quality piston as well.
