Kreidler Phantom5
Hi you all!
I just finished my Phantom5. The concept „Phantom model„ is used quite frequently in Hot Rod circles in US. It means a model that never existed, but it looks like it could have been built by the factory. That somehow sums up my moped I guess. My major inspiration has been the late Super5 and it just took off from there!
It is now a 5 speed engine with a Mahle 6,25, slightly tuned.

Re: Kreidler Phantom5
And that it is! I think you've made some good choices when it comes to combining the parts of different models. Perhaps 150mm Capagnolo's would look a bit nicer instead of the 160mm Leleu's you've got right now. And as said by Arny, the 'phantom 5' detail looks great!christer schreef:Hi you all!

Thank you !
Things like that can actually be very important when planning a project!
Yes, there are about 40 millimeter there. And with the very, very, very ridgid rear half of the front fender, I cant see any problems coming there! Is there enough clearing between the cilinder and the front fender ?
I do agree with you on that one. But there is a specific reason for the 160:s. Most of my friends are Zündapp-freaks. (Kreidler are unusuall in Sweden) And they can only get 150 for their mopeds. Wich gives me 10 millimeter to tease them good!Perhaps 150mm Capagnolo's would look a bit nicer instead of the 160mm Leleu's you've got right now

I cant agree with you there, since my flash hits the tank and makes reflections that looks like dents! Did not think that far when I took the photos!excelent photo's too

Thanks again for all the kind words!
Yes, the decals where made by me and a guy that works with decals for a living. We began searching for a font that looked similar to the old “Super„ decal. Then we cut black film for the outline and found a red one that was close to the original (or at least close to the red color of the new Super decals that I bought…..).
We did two sets of them. You never know what happens when you get petrol, oil or whatever on them. But they have managed so far!

I live 50 km northeast of Stockholm, Smidö. Do you have connections here in Sweden?
I also got an E-mail from a guy that saw my moped here, asking me if I have lowered it. And the answer is, Yes! The front mudguard doesn't look in harmony with the rest of the vehicle with original height! I shortened the front shocks 35 mm and uses Zündapp shocks that I have extended 25mm in rear. Works perfect if you're not tempted to go motocross with it, (wich Im not! ).
