chain gears
Hello to all of u experts to Kreidlers,
i have a tm export model with parmakit cylinder 44mm 5.2hp and chain gears spockets 13-35,
but i am not satisfied with the setup, because to oposite wind and to uphills it doesnt run very good.
i am asking u if u tried to change the spockets and to do something like the Zundapp motors, i ve seen them to have spockets like 17-28 and to go faster uphill . ok maybe they have less top speed but they run better and comfort.
the Kreidler motors have more revs than Zundapp? so we cant put a front spocket 16 or 17?
Friendly from Greece

You can not compare a Zündapp engine with Kreidler. Different gears insideJIMMYS schreef: ↑28 okt 2021, 20:11 Hello to all of u experts to Kreidlers,

Re: chain gears
13/35 should be fine.
I think your setup is not perfect.

Re: chain gears
No, 17-28 will not work on your Kreidler.
The inner gears are different as said.
This gear is to long for a normal Kreidler.
The Kreidler engine does more revs than Zundapp, he needs the higher revs,
because there is less bottom power in a Kreidler, thats normal.
You can try 13-36 for more revs(=more power) uphill.
Or 12-35 (=13-38)
But it will decrease your topspeed.

watch out there are front sprockets for brommer(moped)max40km/h)
and motorfiets (motorbike) 5speed 80km/h)your TM)

Re: chain gears
thanks a lot, all of you.
i see then that Kreidlers have more revs and they need this.
so 13-35 or 13-36 is good for 5.2hp cylinder and i forget to tell about the Bing carburator is 1/18/26 with main jet 78.
13-34 will be fine for 6hp and more, to a rs for example?
can u suggest an aftermarket carb(such as a polini or dellorto?) for the parmakit 44mm cylinder to get more revs? or this cant be done with just another carb?
and if i get the kokusan electr.ignition this is just for the response of the motor and not to give more revs?
so if i cant change the cylinder and the spockets, what is the next step to the next stage?
i think i must read but its difficult with the google translate!!

Re: chain gears
Well, i have no experience with the Parmakit but there are topics about it on this beautiful forum.
Of course, to read and translate them will cost you hours and hours.
From what i read: It has a high timed exhaust port what will result in enough power but only at high RPM.
So i can imagine hill up you cannot reach the RPM value where the Parmakit starts with the real work.
What to do? I hope a tuner can do something about it?
You can try 12/36 and it will help you uphill but then you drive on roads with no hills with a lot of RPM and less speed.
In my opinion the only solution is to change the characteristics of the cylinder by a good tuner or to buy another cylinder
with more power in the mid RPM.

Re: chain gears
For the exhaust I forgot to tell that it is a jarmacol one for zundapp written on it(I.couldnt find the right one here in Greece) . It is not separated.
Maybe i must find his own exhaust for better results?
Or for 5.2hp it doesn't matter at all.
And if ger a special aftermarket exhaust not handmade is this enough to give more revs? Or top speed?
I ll upload photos

Re: chain gears
That is a cheap exhaust with cheap chrome.
But doing very well till 7hp setup.
I was positively surprised.
But your current exhaust should do the job as well.
Try to move the exhaust a few centimetres forward or backward to find the best result.
