Good morning to all of u, Kreidler lovers.
My problem,
As I don't have enough patience and I change the spark plugs on a hot cylinderkopf I damaged it, so I can't tide it anymore. The Kreidler is a TM. 1968 and the numbers on the kopf is 15.63.06
So I have to find another one or to fix it.
I found one but for 4.2 super 4 as the numbers are 15.53.06. If I put thiw on, there shall be differences at the faction of the motor?
Regards to your lovely and peaceful country
And something else, what are the w2, w4, w8, is about the depth οf inciration champer

Re: Cylinderkopf
Almost every garage can fix your cilinder head with a Helicoil.
The 15.63.06 has a higher compression as the 15.53.06
W4 is the mold version by Mahle

Re: Cylinderkopf
As Caspar said before, W4 or W6 are casting/mold versions. It has nothing to do with 15.xx.xx numbers.
You can repair the sparkplug treat with a Helicoil.

Re: Cylinderkopf
Oh come on, mysterious things.
As I tried an old Bosch sparkplug I could tighten it as good as I want, but when I try a ngk one I can't. It jumps.
But yes for sure I ll fix it at a garage

Re: Cylinderkopf
The 15.63.06 was used for the first time on the 5.2 hp engine of the "Super 5" from mid-1965. The spark plug problems were a thing of the past, the compression was increased properly and the speed increased towards 8,000 rpm. It is interesting that there were a lot of W's in the "63" head, which I think are the molds. There are these up to W8. Many say that these cylinder heads have been continuously optimized, I've personally had my hands on many of these heads, but I haven't noticed any major differences. I only have the W7 at the moment. The compression height is 10mm here. If you know more about the different "W's", you can get in touch.
